Nutmeg, ivory, ancient talismans….exotic Africa in our hands. In this class we will make simple canes to embellish beads made of faux ivory and bone. We will also use tools to carve designs and incise patterns on surface of beads and experiment with a range of bead shapes such as disk, lentil beads, and pods. Students will make several beads. Appropriate for advanced beginners and up. Clay and tools included.
