Thin layers of clay imprinted with textures and cut in creative ways yield beautiful veneers. Polymer clay, chameleon that it is, can resemble mokumegane, a Japanese metal working technique, feathered marbled paper or striped bargello textiles. In this class, we’ll work with wavy blades, foils and textures to craft a beautiful little bowl that is a sampler of techniques. While our projects are curing, Laurel will demo how to make lovely pendants and earrings with leftover veneers. There’s a special $60 early bird price for Portland Polymer Guild Members until December 5th; after December 5th, the class will be $75.00. A supply list will be sent to students.
