with Laurel Swetnam
Saturday, Feb 21, 2015, 9:30am – 5:00pm
Come make a small round box (2-2.5 inches in diameter) with polymer clay. The boxes will have a lid and then we’ll add feet, if desired, and a knob on the top to embellish the box. The patterned clay will be created from simple canes.
For this class, we’ll make at least two canes. One will be a complex patterned cane comprised of repetitions of a fairly simple cane that creates an optical illusion of depth – a tessellated pattern. This is one of the most magical aspects of caning!
We’ll use Kato clay for this class, and you can either bring your own or buy a class kit from Laurel for $8.00. A supply list will be provided.
