Clasps, crimps and wires: basic jewelry making techniques

with Laurel Swetnam

Saturday , Jun 21, 2014, 10:00am – 12:30pm

This is a beginning class for anyone who wants to take the next step and turn your lovely  handcrafted polymer beads (or beads you’ve collected ) into wearable art. This class will show you how to attach clasps to stringing wire, how to use jump rings and provide an overview of stringing materials and closings available, including how to use buna chord or leather with handmade polymer closings. The plan for this class is to provide basic instruction and information, followed by lots of coaching!   Basic tools and materials will be provided, and some additional supplies available to purchase.
