Use mixed media to create a journal or multiple page work of art!  We’ll take a volume that’s outworn its original purpose and make our own mark!  Forbidden to write in your books?  Let your inner kiddo romp over the pages with abandon and style!

Learn some basic techniques for altering books to your liking, such as window making, layering, and folding.  BYOB(ook) or use one supplied!  Take home some ideas to finish it off,or join us in Open Studio with a project you’ve begun.

Students bring:  A book to alter with paper pages, any ribbons, papers or collage material you favor (there will also be some on hand)  favorite glue stick

VIA will supply paint, brushes, exacto knives, scissors, and collage materials to share
